Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions
This Rental Agreement forms part of the terms and conditions of rental between:
GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE (as defined in the Rental Agreement) and the renter/hirer named
in this Agreement Dated:
Maintaining water and oil levels is the hirer(s) responsibility. Any cost incurred will be reimbursed upon production of a receipt. Should any malfunction of the vehicle occur, any sign of overheating, you must stop the vehicle immediately or you will be held liable and loss of bond may occur
Any accident must be reported within twenty four(24)hours and must be accompanied by a police report, (if police are in attendance).
Should the hirer(s)fail to comply with any conditions of this contract, all losses and damages suffered by the owner arising out of such failure shall be bourne by and paid for by the hirer(s). Subject to the terms & conditions contained on the front and reverse hereof of which the hirer(s) acknowledges that they are aware, the hirer agrees to rent the above vehicle and elects to pay all amounts payable under this agreement by the method of payment of which details are given on this document.
The Hirer(s) accept responsibility for all traffic violations. A $50 administration fee will apply for any unpaid fines or to delayed process of infringement
ACCEPTANCE OF LOSS/DAMAGE LIABILITY
In the event of any loss, damage, or liability:
- You agree to pay the Loss, Damage or Liability Excess of $5,000 which will be deducted from your security bond that GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE is holding.
- If you are in breach of the Rental Agreement terms and conditions You agree to pay for any loss, damage, or liability in full.
You acknowledge You are responsible for the Vehicle until GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE accepts custody of the vehicle, returned to the yard at the end of the hire period.
Note: Payment of the Excess does not resolve you of your liabilities under the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement Contract.

Renter/Hirer: Means & includes all renters and authorised drivers
Owner: means GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE (GCMH)
Rental period: means the period the vehicle is hired for and any additional time the vehicle is in the care of the hirer.
Vehicle: means the vehicle hired by the customer and includes tools, tyres, accessories, and all other equipment on/in or hired with the vehicle.
Premises: means the offices of the owner/manager located at:

Yard: means the pickup and drop off points for the Hirer

RENTAL HIRE DEFINITION
Rental hire is calculated on a per calendar day basis from the first day the vehicle is taken from the premises until the day it is returned to the premises, which must be no later than 4pm during office hours. Rental period must be a minimum of FOUR days. (unless otherwise agreed by GCMH)
OWNERSHIP OF VECHICLE
Ownership will remain the property of GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE and the hirer shall not hire, sell, or part with possession of the vehicle as a whole or any part thereof at any time.
VECHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF
Vehicle pick up and drop off is at the vehicle Yard during the following hours.
Monday to Friday 9am – 4pm, Saturday 9am – 12pm or by appointment. Late return of the vehicle will incur a full day’s hire fee for every day the vehicle is late. This fee will be determined at the current full hire rate. Early return of vehicle will not result in a refund of money.
All motorhomes are thoroughly washed and cleaned prior to each hire and do not leave the yard unless they are in A1 condition.
CONDITION ON RETURN OF VECHILE
The hirer will return vehicle in a clean condition with a full tank of fuel, and gas bottles filled. Failure to return vehicle in a clean condition and the toilet cassette emptied to the sole satisfaction of the owner will incur a $350 cleaning fee.
A full (non-probationary and *non-restrictive) current (for the duration of the hire) Motor vehicle driver’s license is required. At the time of hire each driver must produce a current resident country driver’s license. If the license is foreign, a current international driver’s license/permit issued in the same country as the license must be produced. Drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 85 years.
*Refers to alcohol restrictions legally imposed on the license holder.
UNATHORISED AND PROHIBITED USE
The following persons MUST NOT drive the vehicle:
- Any person who has not left a copy of their driver’s license with the owner at time of hire.
- Any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol limit level in access permitted by law.
- Any person whose license has been canceled or suspended.
- Any person who holds a learner’s permit, probationary or *restrictive license.

**VEHICLE INSURANCE WILL BE VOID IF ANY OF THE ABOVE ITEMS ARE BREACHED**
A bond/excess of $5000 will be held for the hire vehicle/s until the return of vehicle/s to GCMH yard. In addition to the standard bond/excess, a further $2,500 will be required if the vehicle is involved in an at fault accident and/or the driver/hirer is believed to have breached any GCMH terms and conditions.
The holding fee/bond is fully refunded within 24 hours of the return of the vehicle, after damage checks and cleaning has been completed, provided no damage has occurred on the vehicle during the duration of hire and no conditions have been breached.
The bond MUST be paid in full by a credit card before vehicle is taken from the premises unless otherwise agreed by GCMH.
BOOKING DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT
Confirmation of booking is deemed as completed once 50% of the total Invoice price is paid (*non-refundable), the remaining 50% balance of the total invoice price is due one month prior to the day of induction and collection of the motorhome (*non-refundable).
* Gold Coast motor homes DO NOT offer refunds. We may, under unforeseen circumstances offer a three (3) or six (6) month credit note, conditions apply.
NRMA ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
When in need of roadside assistance hired vehicles are covered by NRMA phone: 1300 369 349
Membership #990001358 (Damage to tyres & windscreen, costs are the responsibility of the hirer of the Motorhome to repair).
**PLEASE CONTACT OWNER (GCMH) AND INFORM THEM OF PROBLEM BEFORE CONTACTING NRMA
Motorhome is NOT covered by insurance if it is used for off-roading (e.g. Sand or Dirt roads). The Awning & Roof are also NOT covered by insurance. (Your awning is NOT to be left out at night, and please put it away in strong winds or rain. The hirer/renter will be held accountable for any damages incurred if they chose to ignore these rules).
Under no circumstances is the vehicle to be taken into underground carparks and/or drive throughs, be aware of your vehicle’s height always and refer to your vehicle’s windscreen for height (BOLD YELLOW WRITING located at the top of windscreen on the passenger side).

$5,000 Excess on all vehicles.
The first 500kms travelled are not charge to Hirer. All kilometers beyond 500km are charged @ 35cents per km and payable on return of vehicle. (unless otherwise agreed to in writing by GCMH)
All road tolls are at the expense of the client.
Failure to do so will incur an extra charge of $50 on credit card or per approved deposit.
The Vehicle is to be returned fully fueled, toilet cassette empty, Gas Bottles full, and interior clean and tidy and returned to the GCMH yard by 4:00pm to ensure no additional charges will be incurred. (unless otherwise agreed in writing)
Note: Management will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal belongings left in any Gold Coast Motorhome Hire. The cost to return any goods will be at hirers expense
AGREEMENT TO HIRE RENTAL VEHICLE:
You acknowledge that You have received and understood the terms and conditions of this Rental Agreement. You authorise GOLD COAST MOTORHOME HIRE (GCMH) to charge all unpaid monies due to the credit card provided on the Rental Agreement or any other credit card or bank account provided to settle any charges and obligations payable on this Rental Agreement.
